Updates for 6/21/20

6/16/2020

Dear FCC Family,

We know these last few weeks have been a whirlwind for all of us as things start resuming.  Thank you for being patient with us and extending grace as we try to figure out how to put our best foot forward to ensure that we are able to gather safely and responsibly. We realize that these modified procedures may seem unfamiliar and uncomfortable, however, we are reminded of Philippians 2:4. Paul exhorts the church to put on the same attitude as Christ Jesus by “not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” We are taking these modified measures to ensure the most vulnerable among us are protected. We appreciate your commitment to unity as we navigate this unique season! Below are the service guidelines that our Reimplementation Team have designed:

General Information
  • Service Times are 8:00a, 9:15a, and 10:30a.  All three services are identical.
  • Please RSVP at this link (https://reopen.church/r/xBwpasYv) or call the church office to RSVP how many people will be joining you at which service time.  This is simply to give staff a snapshot of attendance for each service. You do not need to provide proof of reservation when you come to service.
  • In an effort to be sensitive to the most vulnerable of us, masks are required.
  • If you fall into any of the risk categories as stated by the CDC, please strongly consider taking advantage of our online offerings from the comfort and safety of your home.
    • People 65 years and older
    • People with chronic lung disease or moderate to severe asthma
    • People who have serious heart conditions
    • People who are immunocompromised
    • People with severe obesity (body mass index [BMI] of 40 or higher)
    • People with diabetes
    • People with chronic kidney disease undergoing dialysis
    • People with liver disease
When you arrive:
  • In order to allow staff to properly prepare for each service, please arrive and enter the building no more than 15 minutes before service.
  • Prior to entering the sanctuary, please visit one of the hand-sanitizing stations set up in the foyer.
  • Once you have used the sanitizer, please proceed directly to the sanctuary and find a seat.  Unfortunately in Stage 1, we are unable to allow people to gather in the foyer to visit.
  • The Christian Standard/Lookout, Daily Bread, and the FCC prayer list can be found in the Main Office entryway and can be picked up at your convenience throughout the week.

Sanctuary Guidelines:
  • Limited seating capacity, not to exceed 100 people in the sanctuary.
    • Side pews - groups of 1-3
    • Middle pews - groups of 4-6
  • Please sit toward the middle of the pew.  This allows for adequate social distance between each pew.
  • Communion cups will be placed in the holders on the pew in front of you.  Return empty cups to the same holders.
  • Offering boxes are available at the back of the sanctuary.  Please deposit your offering in one of the boxes.  If you forget your offering on Sunday, you are welcome to drop it at the office on Monday mornings.

When you leave:
  • A staff member will dismiss the congregation by section from the stage.  Please remain seated until your section is dismissed.
  • Please proceed directly to your vehicle, allowing time for us to clean prior to the next service.
