Mid September weekly update

According to my calendar, this is the last week of summer - and how about one last blast of 90 degree temps to push us into fall! My hope and prayer is summer has been a blessing for you and this fall will bring opportunities to grow close in your walk with the Lord. We have just two Sundays left in our James sermon series - time sure does fly when you are having fun!

Several quick reminders:

** Tuesday evenings means Bible Study Fellowship groups at FCC at 6:30pm - we are hosting both Men's and Women's groups this year! Why not check out this multi-church, international Bible study opportunity right here in the 61727? You can jump in anytime  - what not this week?

** Wednesdays from 6-7:30pm means FIRST KIDS for preschool and grade school students! Don't miss this great opportunity for your children and grandchildren!

** Sundays evenings bring our student ministry: The Underground - new name, same Jesus! Jr High from 5-6:45pm and High School from 6:30-8pm!

** Reload for Men at the Y on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month - next gathering is THIS Friday September 21 at 6:15AM. We will be studying Gene Getz's book The Measure of a Man - I have copies for just $10. See you Friday at the Y!

** Our sermon study through James is coming to a conclusion - only two messages left! Read the last part of chapter four and the first half of chapter five for this Sunday as we look at BOASTING, OPPRESSION and PATIENCE in the life of a Christ Follower.

** The Vault registration is THIS Sunday September 23 from Noon-2pm - come learn how you can get your High School and Junior High students registered for the mid-October opening!

** Apple and Pork is less than two weeks away! Don't forget we have a ONE SERVICE Sunday on September 30 this year at 9:30am.

** October brings the TELL ME MORE sermon series with 18 area church! Good stuff!

** Coming Home Sunday is November 18 with ONE SERVICE at 9:30am, a catered lunch (ticket needed) at 11:30am and an afternoon gathering at around 1:00pm. Mark your calendars now and save the date!
